•    College Preparedness Youth Workshop (October 8, 2011). This event is designed to provide information and resources to Oakland middle school students, to encourage and guide in the college preparation process. The event will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the new 81st Avenue Library, located at 81st and Rudsdale Avenues in Oakland.
•    S.H.A.R.E.S. card fundraiser (ongoing). The S.H.A.R.E.S. (Supporting Humanities, Arts, Recreation, Education & Sports) program is available at Lucky Stores, Save Mart Supermarkets, S-Mart Foods, and FoodMaxx. When you use your registered S.H.A.R.E.S. card to purchase groceries, a percentage of your purchase price goes to assist CoCo Corner in its efforts to support youth in their worthwhile goals.
